MTC Industries and Research (Thermal Spray) is the thermal coating division of MTC Industries and Research Carmiel Ltd. in Karmiel. It specializes in thermal spray coatings, including HVOF, plasma and arc-spray, and in shot peening, with more than 500 types of special coatings, coating thickness up to 5 mm, restoration of dimensions and refurbishment of worn parts. Before coating, parts are cleaned with solvents in a vapor degreaser with ultrasound, then sandblasted and masked for protection. The division works with the chemical, textile, ready-mix concrete, refinery and power plant, food and drink, railway, metals and automobile, aviation, printing and paper, and marine industries, and does MRO repairs for military aviation and civilian fields such as energy, water and food. A metallurgical laboratory and a dimensional control laboratory support the work.
